What is a turnaround time?
9-14 business days but there are options to expedite at checkout.

What's the difference between a stitched badge logo and an embroidered logo?
A stitched badge logo typically refers to a design that is created as a separate patch and then sewn onto the garment, while an embroidered logo is directly integrated into the fabric itself using stitching techniques. The main difference lies in how they are applied: stitched badges can be removed or replaced, whereas embroidered logos are more permanent and part of the item’s design. Will my logo print in the exact colors of my logo or will the colors be only what is selected in the design tool?

We will print in our stock colors. We do offer PMS matching for screenprinted orders. The min qty purchase is 50. The cost is 50.00 per color. Please make a comment in the design notes and we can make that update manually after we receive your order.

Where are you located?

 We are located in the Northeast. We are in CT right on the NY state border.

I am tax exempt, how do I get this information to you?

You will be able to provide your tax exempt details during checkout.

Will my shirts shrink?

I can help explain this. All 100% cotton shirts will shrink -- even when they say pre-shrunk. Pre-shrunk is a manufacturing term that is sometimes confused for a different meaning.

Sample - Ordering? 

It is easy to order a blank or generic sample for any product on our site. This is useful to check color, material, and sizing.
On the webpage of the item you are interested in, select the desired item color and then select the button labeled 'Buy Sample'.
Select the sizing, if applicable, and then select if you would like a blank item or a generic item.
Once those are selected, select the button labeled 'Choose'. You will now see the sample item in your cart.

Will I receive a proof? 

A proof is a digital mock up of your design.

You will be happy to know, that part of the order process is to provide a digital mock-up, before we proceed with production of your order. A skilled production artist will be assigned to your order; their job is to make sure all elements are linear and perfectly centered. We will provide finished dimensions and highlight any issues you should be aware of in yellow boxes. When your proof is ready - you will receive an email with a link to view and approve your proof. If you need to make changes, there is a field that you would be able to communicate the changes. We require approval to proceed with the production of your order.

Do you offer Dropshipping? 

We are happy to help with drop shipments.

We do them for bulk orders shipping to different addresses.

Shipping will be pre-paid and added to your invoice.

Can't log in or Create an Account

If you have placed an order previously, but checked out as a guest - you will not be able to log in.  You can still reorder - using the customer center at the top right of the screen.

We allow account creation at checkout for security and to discourage hackers.

Pro Tip: Use the customer center top right of screen you can reorder, find previously saved designs, check order status and reprint invoices.

I uploaded artwork, and selected the color I want it to be in. Can you show me the logo in a different color?

That's a popular question.

**Our design studio can't edit the colors of your uploaded logo or graphic**

But this is not something you should worry about: we will recolor your logo or graphic image during the proof process, after your order is placed.

Pro Tip: Select the colors you want the design to be in. This way your order will be priced correctly.

I uploaded artwork - there is a white box (or other color) around  it, is this a problem?

Nothing to worry about.
The background color of your uploaded image is an unprintable element. You will see it removed during the proofing process.

What program or format should my artwork be saved in?

Ideal Format:
EPS. Fonts to outlines. No placed images or clipping masks. Flatten layers. On a white background.
Next Best:
PNG on white or transparent background save at 10" wide by 150 dpi.
Pro Tips:
-Make sure there is not a lot of empty space around the live area of your artwork.
-Files that are larger than 5mb, may give you trouble.
-Avoid using extra punctuation marks when you name your file.

1. Click cart at the top right of your screen.

2. Click Save Design:

 Why can't I click complete purchase? I Can't Checkout?

I am sorry you are having trouble. I can walk you through how to fix. Please help me by following these steps below:
Make sure you have only 1 browser window open with bolt printing.
Click Cart at the top of the screen.
Make sure everything in your cart is what is expected.
Click Secure Checkout.
Start at the very first step: Click the orange continue button to get the next step.
Repeat this for each step all the way through Step 5 'Payment'.
Once payment details are entered. Enter Initials, Complete Captcha, and Submit Order.

 Add Sizes - Design Studio? 

I can help you with this. In the Design Studio, above the box where you see the product, click the box that says "Buy Now". A window will open. Enter the qty you want for each size in the box below the size. Then click Add To Cart.

How do I Approve my Proof? 

I can help you with this. At the top right of the screen, click Customer Center. Choose the Option labeled Review Proofs. Enter in your Order Number then your Ship To Zip Code. **If you are a registered user, you will have to log-in.

 How do I change the color of the product I am designing? 

I can help you with this. In the Design Studio, above the box where you see the product. Click the first box that says "Change Product color". You will then be able to select a different color from the drop down menu.

How do I print an invoice? 

I can help you with this. At the top right of the screen, click Customer Center. Choose the option labeled Print Invoice. Enter your Order Number then your Ship To Zip Code. **If you are a registered user, you will have to log-in.

 How can I order something I have ordered before? 

I can help you with this.
At the top right of the screen, click Customer Center.
Choose the option labeled Reorder.
Enter your Order Number then your Ship To Zip Code.

How do I save or share the design I created?

I can help you with this.

In the Design Studio, above the box where you see the product click the box that says "Save 4 Later".

A window will open. Name Your Design, enter Your email address.

Complete the Captcha then click save.

You will receive an email with a link to your saved design.

Pro Tip: You can find your saved design in the Customer Center at the top right of the screen.

Do you have toddler or infant sizes?

We do!

Because these shirts are tiny, they are printed on different machines. This means they will not earn a quantity discount with the other styles you are ordering.

Why Can't I delete items from my cart?

I think this might be happening because the settings on your phone are blocking the pop-up window.

Here's how to fix: Turn pop-ups on or off

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app .
  2. To the right of the address bar, tap More. Settings.
  3. Tap Permissions. Pop-ups and redirects.
  4. Turn off Pop-ups and redirects.

Can I print on the sleeves?

Our minimum quantity for sleeve printing is 12. The maximum print colors available for a sleeve print is 4.

What are the features of your sewn print brand tags?

We are not able to relabel the inside of the garments with your custom label.

Help me to checkout - I can't enter credit card - or it does not allow me to submit and complete my order.

How do I place an order using a school purchase order?

During checkout in the payment area you are able to select school purchase order and provide the purchase order number in the field.

Can you confirm the total cost for my orders?

All orders go through a review process to double check pricing.If there is a price discrepancy we will contact you to work through any issues.

We send an order confirmation after the order is placed. Let us know if you did not receive.

What's the fastest shipping option for my order?

A paid shipping level - is the fastest way to get your order. Options are presented to you during checkout.

What embellishment options are available for Hats, Beanies, Blankets, Button Downs, Caps, or Hats?

Currently the only embellishment method is direct embroidery.

 If I order the same design on a different color will I earn a qty discount?

In most cases yes.
Here are the rules.
*The design must be embellished exactly the same across all garment colors on the same style.
*Order 12 in each garment colors.

Currently, we are not running any coupons.

 How can I know what the main features or differences of your products?

 When you select a product - expand the window for product details - look for the section titled "product highlights" expand that window and you will find an easy-to-read chart that lists the most important features of the product or style.

What do you mean by "your chat has ended"?

This means that your chat session may have timed out because a response was needed. Just start a new chat if you need help.

 How do I make a change on an order I have already placed?

Once we have received your order, we will have to help you with changes.  Please reply to your order confirmation email with the changes you would like to be made.  On the next business day we will make the changes requested. If we aren't able to - we will follow up with possible workarounds.

How can I get a quote for my my order?

 Select the product or style you want. 
Then select the product color.
Scroll down on the page.
Select the colors your design will be for the front.
If you will be adding a design to the back - select the colors for back.
Then enter the qty you will be ordering. 
Pricing will appear in the quick estimate.
You can choose to Save the Quote - and we will send an email with a recap.

How can I find the model, product or style I want?

If you know the model number you can enter that in the search key at the top of the screen. 

If you don't know the model number you can browse the categories to find what you are looking for.

Can I print on the back side too?

In most cases you can print on the back side. There are a few styles / products that can be printed on the front side only.

Gildan Custom T Shirt Special 5000-FTW. If you have selected this style you can change the style to the Best Deal BD54 or to the Gildan 5000 (both are comparable and will allow you to print on both sides - cost will be higher).

If you have selected a Racerback Style Tank Top - we are not able to print on the back.

The pricing does not match the advertised price.

Here's a few reasons why this is occuring.
Make sure you have selected the exact same model / style number.

For T Shirt Printing: advertised prices are based upon a white shirt with a single print color in a single location at stated quantities.

For Embroidered Styles: advertised prices are based on a embroidery at 8K stitches in a single location.

 What is your return Policy?

Because we are selling a customized product; we are not able to accept a return unless there is a material defect. You can read more here about the processes we have in place to avoid errors: Quality Guarantee & Return Policy

 How fast is expedited shipping?

Selecting a paid level of shipping - automatically moves your order to the soonest open production date. Shipping service selected and the destination address will impact how quickly and what cost would be associated with this. In the cart, before checking out you can get a shipping estimate. During checkout you will see this same options. 

Important point: Our cut off time is 3pm EST on a business day. 

Pro Tip: If you are getting a shipping estimate; make sure you get your order placed on that same day before 3PM EST - if you place your order after 3PM EST or on a later day. The same shipping options and costs are likely to be different.

Do you print in full color?

On most styles we can print in full color or photo like printing.

How do I know if my logo or design will work for printing or embroidery?

 Please send an inquiry here and attach your logo and let us know the Model # / Style #. We will get back to you asap.

Do you have sizes 2x, 3x, 4x?

 Almost all styles that we carry are available in extended sizes 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X and sometimes 6X.
Keep in mind: all extended sizes carry an upcharge.
You can find the sizes available for all styles on the product page - by reviewing the size chart or selecting the garment color and scrolling down on the page to see sizes available.

I am trying to upload my artwork, but it says that i have to pick a color and file first. I choose the color and click upload, but the same message appears?

Here's how to troubleshoot:
Make sure you have just 1 browser window open with Bolt Printing website. 

Make sure the file you are uploading is in one of these formats: eps, jpeg, png, svg or tiff.

Make sure the file is not too big - less than 5mb.

Try reloading the browser  - or clearing your history of activity on our site.

If none of these work - request our help.

How come 3 print colors is so much more expensive than 2?

The cost of printing increases with the number of print colors due to several factors:

- **Ink Usage**: Each additional color requires more ink, which contributes to the overall material costs.
- **Setup Time**: More colors involve more complex setup processes, including adjustments during printing, which can increase labor costs.
- **Production Complexity**: Multiple colors necessitate more precise registration during printing, adding time and resources to the production process.

How do I print on the back of the shirt? 

In the design studio under the person wearing the shirt click the tab that says "Back" the person will turn around and you can design the back of the shirt.

Do you use Vinyl Printing?

We don't use vinyl printing.

What is the difference between the CP90 and the CP90L?

The CP90L is fleece lined.

The maximum imprint area can vary based on the model number. On the product page - under product details - click to expand - scroll to the bottom - we provide the max print area.

What is the print method for bags?

The method of embellishment can vary based on the model number. On the product page - under product details - click to expand - scroll to the bottom - we provide the max print area.

 How can I reposition text in the design studio?

Click on the text element - so that a blue box appears around the text. You can use your mouse or arrow keys to drag the text to where you would like it to be.
If you want to make it bigger or smaller use the menu on the right to increase or decrease size.

 Can you embroider on the back of the hat?

Yes, we can.

 Do you offer big & tall sizes in tshirts?

We offer big & tall sizes in our workwear section (Carhartt CTK87 Pocket T-Shirt). Also embroidered polos (Port Authority K500 Pique Polo)

 do you give discounts to non profits?

Discounts are driven by the following: style, color, design details and qty ordered.
We are super focused on delivering value for all customers, regardless of type.

 Do you carry Next Level brand?

We do, we carry a few styles of Next Level: In unisex short sleeve tees (6210, 3600, 6200, 6410) unisex long sleeve t-shirts (3601) unisex tank tops (3633).  In Ladies short sleeve tees (3900, 6610, 5030, 5080). ladies tank tops (N1533).  In Kids short sleeve tshirts (3312).

 What does OS mean?

OS means One Size Fits Most

 What is the minimum qty for custom hats?

The minimum qty for custom hats is 12.

 My design is not showing up on my shirt in the cart, when I click edit I can see it. Is it really there?

Sometimes this can happen if you have more than 1 browser window open or you were using the preview button. Please continue with checkout and make a comment that you want to be sure that your design is there and tell us the colors that you want your design to be in. We will make sure everything lines up before we move forward.

 Can you make custom tablecloths?

Unfortunately, we can't help with tablecloths.

 How do I review and approve my proof?

Why is the font size or color not changing in the design studio?

This might be happening if you have copied or pasted text into the add text area. For the text to be editable on the shirt - please type in the box.

I have a question about my proof.

Please ask your question by saying no the proof is not approved - this will open up a window. You can also reach out to us M-F 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM EST by phone or live chat to discuss in detail.

 why does it keep adding white as a color when i want other colors?

This happens when you are printing a light color. We will need to print a barrier between the shirt and the top ink colors so they will stand out. It is a standard practice in our industry.

 do you use screen printing?

Yes. The methods of embellishment we offer Digital (aka Direct to Garment), DTF (Direct to Film), Screen Printing, Simulated Process Screen Printing, and Embroidery (we call this Direct Embroidery).

 what size should my art be?

Please save your artwork at 10-12" wide for printing on tshirts.
We will automatically resize to meet industry standards during the proof process. If you want to make adjustments or want something smaller - just make a comment.

 how can i delete a saved design?

In the top right corner is an "x" click the x and then click the box that says "delete" to confirm you want to delete the design.

 how do i go about posting a review on your website?

We use Trustpilot to gather and verify reviews. We will automatically send a review after you approve your proof - to check what you thought of our service, and another one to check what you thought of your custom merch.

 Are children sizes the same as youth?

Yes. Children and Youth mean the same thing.

 the image preview on the shirt looks bad due to removing the white background. is there a better way to prep the file to avoid this?

Save your image as a png with a transparent background. Or upload a vector format (.eps sometimes a pdf if the artwork contained is vector will upload without the white background).
It is not something I would worry about - the white box IS NOT a printable element. we will remove it during the proof process.

do you provide a link, where people can by my shirt? 

In the design studio or in the cart choose the option to save design 4 later - you can share that link with the person who will be placing the order.

 i sent a better image through text this morning. wanted to see if it was received?

follow up via phone call or live chat during regular business hours 9:30 am - 6:30 pm EST to be sure to check if it was received.
Remember, it is preferred for you to upload replacement art files on the proof page - when you request changes or want to provide a different image.

 i was interested in the bdh80 hoodie. would i be able to see an actual photo of the creme color?

You can reach out via live chat during regular business hours to request an image - but this is not 100% reliable. Ordering a blank sample is the best way to be sure the color is what you want.

 do you offer bella canvas triblend tees?

 what is bdss made of?

BDSS: Best Value Super Soft Shirt is made of 100% ringspun cotton. It is lightweight. Heathers will be a blend.

 i need to find out what the tee shirts that feel like they have stuff plastic for the graphic is called so i can stay away from them when shopping online. some t shirts have a smooth surface and then there are those that look like they will melt in the dryer as you could fold in half they are so stiff?

Without seeing the shirt - it would be hard to determine what is going on. It could be a cheap transfer that was done at home. It could be a vinyl application. A full color image printed big on a colored garment will have a heavier "hand" to avoid this choose lighter shirt colors, print simpler designs (not ones that fill every area with ink), print smaller on the shirt, order a larger qty so the shirt will be screen printed.

 proof is fuzzy?

This might be happening because your browser is set to compress images so that the your web pages load faster. I would try viewing your proofs on a different browser if that does not work. Reach out to us via live chat during regular business hours we can talk through it with you there.
