Returns & Cancellations

What happens if something is wrong with my order?

We Stand Behind Every Order — That’s the Bolt Promise

At Bolt Printing, we take pride in every item we produce. Your order was made just for you, and we want you to be happy with it. While we don’t accept returns for most custom items, we’re always here to make things right when something goes wrong.

If there’s a clear issue with your order, we’ll fix it fast, with fairness and care—that’s the Bolt Promise.

What Qualifies for a Return

We’ll take action if:

  • You received the wrong item (wrong garment, color, or size from what you ordered)
  • Your order doesn’t match the proof you approved
  • A decoration is significantly misaligned, beyond industry-standard tolerances
  • There’s a major visible defect that can clearly be seen from 4–6 feet away

📌 All return claims must be submitted within 10 business days of receiving your order.

What Doesn’t Qualify

Because everything we make is custom printed or embroidered just for you, we can’t accept returns for:

  • Incorrect sizes if the items match your order
  • Dislike of the color, garment style, or print after receiving
  • Slight placement shifts within our standard tolerances:
    • ±0.5" for shirts
    • ±0.25" for hats
  • Close-up imperfections that wouldn’t be noticed when worn normally

👀 The industry standard is "commercial acceptability" — if your item looks great from a normal viewing distance (4–6 feet), it’s considered acceptable.

We encourage reviewing size charts and garment specs before ordering, especially for groups or events.

How to Submit a Return Claim

If your issue meets the criteria above, we’re here to help.
Email [email protected] with:

Changing or Canceling an Order

Speed is key—orders move into production fast!

If your order hasn't reached the art department or embroidery stitch count process, we can usually help. After that:

  • Changes may not be possible
  • If they are, a $15 change order fee will apply
  • Your ship date may be delayed while adjustments are made

To make a change or cancel your order, please call us or start a chat as soon as possible.
